What a disappointment! We had heard such good things about this restaurant and how it was one of the best places to eat Thai food in the metroplex. Well, I beg to differ. Of the 5 white wines "offered" for the Happy Hour they were out of 2 of them, but in all fairness we were offered an upgraded wine for our 3rd choice. The food was tasty but nothing to get excited about and it took too long , especially when you consider we were the only people in the place. The service was okay , until we got our bill. The one order of soup that we were told would be split into 2 smaller bowls was double billed and we were charged for 3 glasses of wine instead of the 2 we ordered. We waited a long time for the waiter to come back to tell him of the error and finally had to get up and find him and the rest of the staff hanging around the bar, When I explained the problem with the check he started arguing with me about how many glasses he had removed! The manager jumped in and took care of it, but needless to say the server's tip reflected his poor service and attitude. We won't be returning and will warn others not to bother either.

I went for dinner on a Friday night, about 9:30, walking from the Courtyard Marriot Blackstone next door, so I cannot rate the valet park. Tina's decor is asian modern, and the house chill music was pumping, not your typical asian restaurant atmosphere. Three different seating areas; window area tables, booths and more tables in the main dining area, with a prominent bar, and a small alcove in the back with four or five tables. The service was decent, as was the food, not as many true thai dishes as I would have liked, but there were Tex-Thai dishes I doubt you would find anywhere else. The price was reasonable for a downtown location. If I visit FW again, I would go back to Tina's.

After getting turned away from simply fondue we gave this place a try. Wow, is all I can say great Thai food. Try the lobster fried rice its bomb.com . Owner works on site is attentive and quick with the best Thai food in Texas. My son had the steak and shrimp all that's left is an empty plate.

After walking around for a few hours taking in downtown Fort Worth and attempting to find a place to grab some grub, my wife and I ended up back in our hotel at Thai Tina's. Yes, this is a restaurant attached to the lobby of a hotel which is 50/50 a recipe for disaster. We were beat, our Seattle bodies and the 95-100 degree weather don't match well, so we decided to give it a shot and take it up to our room. I ordered the Panang Duck with no rice and extra veggies and my wife ordered The Bounjay (see menu for specifics on each dish). We had planned to order a separate appetizer, but upon seeing some of the items being brought out of the kitchen for other diners, we figured the amount of food would be fine for two people looking to share. The food came out quickly, about 10-15 minutes after placing, and we took it up to the room. We discovered that Thai food is a bit of a pain to eat/share in a hotel room with no real plates and plastic utensils (the sauce...what a nightmare!). Regardless, the food was tasty. I'm used to Japanese curry, so it always weirds me out a bit when I order a curry dish and the curry is "liquidy", but the Thai flavoring is so good it hardly mattered. I definitely preferred the duck dish to the Bounjay, but both were good (and of course, my wife preferred The Bounjay, who'd have guessed?). The only part I didn't like - they gave us both rice and ignored the request for extra veggies. We didn't complain because we were hungry and the rice was surprisingly moist/sticky (also something I grew up with), but there really wasn't much of an excuse for the waitress (owner?) or kitchen missing this request as the restaurant was fairly dead at the time. A quick note about the prices - I'd say it's fairly priced for downtown Fort Worth for the quality/amount of food. It was one of the better value meals we ate during our stay downtown. That said, it's more expensive than what I'd expect to pay for similar food locally in the PNW.

I work in downtown and I'm Asian so I've been trying all the Asian restaurants around here. You have to valet (I think this was the best part of my experiences) they were super nice and friendly! Valet is complementary, just tip! I had the fried rice (pic posted) I have to agree with another yelper...it reminded of me jambalaya instead of the typical Thai fried rice. Was the rice jasmine? I don't how to explain it because I have never had thai fried like this. It didn't taste bad just different. Like they stir fried the siracha sauce into the sauce to make it red...I'm not sure. Just wasn't what I wanted. Waitress didn't know anything about thai food. It was my first time so I'm not sure if she was new. I asked her about many items and she was clueless! And my biggest complaint is the menu...Please re do the menu. It's complicated and why is the lunch special so tiny???? The pricing is not over priced for being in a hotel and in downtown but please make the menu easier to read. I probably won't be coming back I'll rather eat at Tie down the street on Houston :)

This place is horrible.. from service to food. I will not be back here and wouldn't recommend this to anyone. First off, the service was very slow and the servers seem to not know the menu very well. They were confused when bringing out the food. For food wise, it was just plain horrible. The Thai teas were ALL watered down and so was the coconut water. Food wasn't any better either, I had gotten the Thai wraps which is basically a freaking pad Thai wrap in a burrito. I honestly didnt even know how to eat it. It was way too sweet. Pad see ew had no flavor whatsowhatever. Curry was bland also. Overall, I would not come back here. This is NOT real Thai food. The price for this place is ridiculously expensive because the food just doesn't match up to it.

Found out today the owner keeps all of the waitstaff's tips . If you think you are tipping the wait staff, you are not. I will never dine here again. Owner is taking advantage of customers ignorance on her tipping practices and keeping the tips intended for the hardworking wait staff for herself!! Shame on you Tina. This may also explain all the negative reviews for slow service.
I'm so torn about Thai Tina's. The food is so, so delicious, but the service is so terrible. A long time ago, I learned not to go during lunch rush, so I usually go before or after (11 or 1). On more than one occasion, I've been literally the only person in the place and had to get up to refill my own water as servers were walking by, actively ignoring or otherwise not noticing me. Then I almost always have to walk up to the stand to pay when I'm done because there's nobody around to notice that I'm done. BUT THE FOOD IS SO GOOD, so I deal with it. Like I said, I'm torn.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, THIS RESTAURANT IS LOCATED INSIDE THE EMBASSY SUITES HOTEL! IT IS NOT CLOSED! Now, for the review: Everytime I come to this restaurant I am delighted with the exquisite presentation and delectable taste of the food. Thus far I have tried the Panang duck, Tina's Thai steak, the Masaman Steak, Seafood Paradise, and Seafood Curry with Panang sauce. But my favorite is the Grilled Salmon with Avocado Panang sauce. I absolutely love the sticky rice and mango for dessert. I'm not quite sure why other reviews say that this place is closed, but it's not true. Also, the service has always been commendable in the 12 times I've eaten here. Don't forget to enjoy a cocktail or drink as you await your meal!

I am giving their Jalapeño fried rice a solid 3 stars! It is good!! I go about once a month for it since its within walking distance from work. I can't say how the rest of the menu is since I've only tried one other item and I didn't like it. But I would recommend the jalapeño fried rice to friends for sure!

Worst food ever! Food tastes stale and fried. Wontons are disgusting. Fried basil rice tastes the same as the fried tofu appetizer. Just a joke!

HORRIBLE SERVICE. Full of chaos. We went in group and they messed up the orders. Veg and non veg dishes were mixed. One person found scraps of metal in food and server agreed that it was from metal scrubber of cleaning of pans. Will NEVER go again. Why should I pay gratuity of 18 percentage over this mess now.

Worst service ever!!! Not only did it take multiple calls to finally get an answer, but there is no one to greet you when you get there. On top of that it wasnt even busy so i have no idea why my calls werent answered! I was told my food would be ready in 15mins. when i got there no one was around and when a girl finally came out, i told her i had a pick up order and she went in the back and took forever and when she came out,she just went straight to serving other people. no acknowledgement or updates on my order. I ended up waiting over 15mins. in fact im still waiting as i write this review. worst service ever! im never recommending or coming here again!
Yummy!!! Staying in town for a work conference and just didn't feel like going out so went to hotel bar I didn't know I would end up having amazing Thai food!!! Met Tina and her husband - both wonderful people! We had amazing soup and Pad Thai. Plus I ordered a glass a wine to take back to my room and I happen to mention my love of chocolate with my red wine - so...Tina's husband went and got me a chocolate bar to take back with my wine. That is good customer service!!!! Great food, great service, great people!!

2.5 stars. The food was pretty good - all of our meals had very crisp, fresh veggies which were not overpowered by the sauces (a tough thing to do in many Asian restaurants). I'm knocking the review down because service was awful - we were probably one of 6 tables in the restaurant and although we were the third to sit, we were the last to receive our food. I think our waiter forgot to put in our order and provided no explanation or apology. This lunch took us significantly over our hour and will take that into consideration again if I decide to ever go back.

Wasn't too impressed with the food. I had the Penang Duck and I don't know if they messed up the order but it was not curry, Taste was a little saucy not very flavorful almost like Chinese not Thai. Food came out warm not very hot like it was freshly cooked. Service was average but they were a little light on staff. Had one entree come out 10mins after the others. Nice atmosphere and was clean

The food was very good. We had several of the pad thai dishes, the grilled chicken, grilled beef, vegetarian miso soup and tom yum gui. The portions were very generous. Even the small soup is large enough to share if added to a meal. We also ordered a large soup and had enough for our family of 5. The service was fine and Tina came by to check on us several times. The mango desert is fabulous and a must have! Would recommend. This was a short walk from the train station.

The bottom line for me.. the food is pretty decent, but the service is horrible. Came here for lunch this past week. I was thinking the service would be prompt since most of the clientele, including us, were professionals on their lunch breaks. Especially with it being inside the Embassy. I was wrong. When we got there no one was at the host stand. We waited and waited, trying to make eye contact with someone, when finally an Embassy employee came over and went to find a server to seat us. I would say there was maybe 6-8 tables full, so steady.. but not packed by any means. Our drink orders were taken quickly and brought to us, which gave me hope.. but it was downhill from there. The lunch menu isn't that big, so we knew what we wanted within about 5 minutes. We watched as other tables got their food and tables cleared, and it seemed like the servers were purposely avoiding eye contact so they didn't have to be flagged down. Annoying for people who only have about 30-40 minutes before they have to head back to work. After 15-20 minutes someone finally came over and took our order. When we got the food it was pretty good. Unfortunately we could only take a few bites and had to take the rest to go since we were out of time. More waiting to pay the bill. Overall I would say if you want to try it, get takeout.

Food is always great. The problem is the service. I have been here 4 times and never have been greeted by a server. Went today and sat ourselves again. Waited 10 mins before knocking on the kitchen door to ask for service. A tall gentlemen came to the table and asked of we were in a hurry. I couldn't believe it. No we aren't in a hurry we would like service. Got our food in a timely matter . It's unfortunate that the service is so bad. Especially because it's in a hotel where out of town guest dine. This is not the impression I want people to have of Fort Worth hospitality.

I have followed Thai Tina's from its initial location in Watauga, to the small building on the corner of White Settlement and Henderson (which is now Little Germany), and now to its third conjuration in the Embassy Suites. If that kind of loyalty doesn't inspire you to give this place a shot, I don't know what will. Actually, I do. I'll write a review. Internet magic! First and foremost, it is apparent that the owner (from the Issan region in north Thailand) and her husband have a lot of love and pride in what they do. Tina has always been a very kind and fun individual. She always makes me feel that she is happy to see me when I walk in. I try to make an effort of trying something new everytime I go back, and I have never been disappointed. The appetizer combo is a great way to sample a little bit of everything - from crab rangoons to fried pork "dumplings", from cilantro rolls to fresh shrimp rolls. There is also a small selection of soups. My personal favorite is Tom Kha - an aromatic coconut milk based soup infused with lemon grass, galanga, aned kafir lime leaves. Chicken Soup for the Soul, pfftfffft - it's now Tom Kha for the Soul. They have a large selection of salads. And these are not some silly fru-fru salads. These salads have soul. These salads have umpff. These salads are the reason lettuce is allowed to exist. The Nam Sod is one of my personal favorites - grilled pork with onion, crushed pepper, and cashews and mint with a dressing made from fish sauce blended with something sweet to balance out that natural saltiness. And the presentation is spectacular - a large wonton sheet fried into a bowl, acting as a cornucopia spilling forth your desired delicacy. The menu also boasts a hearty selection of noodles and curries. The pad thai is a classic comfort dish. The pad woon sen presents a hearty rich brown sauce with flat noodles. And don't get me started on the curries! I've tried them all, and found them all worthy of praise. Don't overlook the other entrees, though. The many preparations of fish, beef, and duck are also worth a nibble... or eight... or twenty three. The only reason I am giving Thai Tina's a 4 and not a 5 is the service can be slow and inconsistent. I typically am a late luncher due to my schedule - I usually don't make it there until 2 or 3pm - so it's not during the lunch rush by any means. But this is definitely something I mostly overlook since I love Tina and her food so much! As a last little tidbit, I travelled to Thailand back in April and I could not wait to taste the local food. I was excited but afraid because I didn't want my love for Thai Tina's to be shattered by thinking she had adapted her dishes. Well, everything tasted exactly the same and I was overjoyed. She has stayed true to her food, and in doing so, true to me. Thank you Tina!

This is by far the WORST Thai food I have ever had. Anyone who writes that it is good is either an employee or gets their other meals at a diner that serves indigent people. Maybe it's me. Perhaps my palate for Thai is too refined after living in the Bay Area. I think not, that was twenty odd years ago, and I did not eat out all that much. The food was so bad that I am worried about getting sick. I believe my fried rice was made with rice out of a box. It reminded me of boxed Cajun jambalaya mix. I am Cajun, and once survived off of the stuff during my early years, so I know it when I taste it. The service was terrible. The first server made a face when I made a special request, and left to inquire if it could be done. Another server showed up and then neglected us after the order was given to us. I HAD to walk up to her, wait for her to quit looking at her phone and ask for my ticket. I will never go there again, I'd complain but I am afraid they would give me a credit requiring that I eat there again.

First of all- this place is inside a hotel lobby. That alone should have sent me out the door. Instead I gave it a try. Well it tasted about as good as the thai food I've made at home (read: not very good and super bland and WAY too many carrots). I am a die-hard thai fan and I've been to some amazing places. This was an americanized and bland experience. I had the combination pad thai: the sauce was too sweet, the nuts were non existent, only veg to be seen was carrots, the shrimp tasted previously frozen and even though I asked for a 4 out of 5 spicy- there was no hint of any heat in the dish. Their idea of mango iced tea was weird too- there was this floating mango juice layer at the bottom of my iced tea and it tasted pretty horrid. The only positive thing I can say is that the dish looked good when it came out of the kitchen. Presentation was spot-on but that is where the good stopped. I would not go back, and I would not recommend this place.

I drove around the block several times trying to find this place. The address was 600 Commerce St., but the only thing there was the Embassy Suites hotel. So I stopped to asked the valet. I asked if there was a Thai restaurant inside, and he said yes! And it has free valet parking! Say no more. I was impressed upon entering. Very upscale place. I was seated promptly and was greeted by the owner, Tina. She was very helpful. I decided on the Tiger Cry salad. A mixed green salad underneath a 14oz New York Strip, drenched in a lime/chile/onion/herb Tiger Cry dressing. It was a lot like Yum Nur. And very good. I washed it down with a Singha and then had a delicious dessert of Mango and Sticky Rice. Awesome! I liked it so much I left my car with the valet and stayed the night! And I'm glad I did. My next review will be for the Embassy Suites. And thank you Thai Tina's for the great suggestion, great food, and great service!

I did not have high hopes for this restaurant when I realized it was located inside of a hotel, but I could not have been more wrong! The food was absolutely phenomenal! The spring rolls were about the best I have ever had, and the calamari was wonderful. I had the Massaman Curry for my entree, and it was so good that I ate the whole thing (which, after eating all the appetizers, was sort of impressive. They serve a LOT of food.). This may be one of the best Thai meals I have ever eaten!

I was in town and was craving some Thai food. This place was close to my hotel and despite the mixed reviews I decided to try it. What a bad idea! I took the Pad Ke Mao to go. When I got to my hotel, I noticed there were two different types of noodles. The thin ones used for Pad Thai and the thicker ones used for Pad Ke Mao. There were also peanuts in my noodles. It tasted like they mixed the Pad Thai and Pad ke Mao to make some type of nasty invention. So upset! On top of that, it seems they added tip or something to my bill because my credit card statement shows something different than what I signed for. Thats unethical. Basically I paid $14 for nasty food that I ended up tossing.

We returned to Tina's lately with a group of folks on a cool January night looking to find some spicy food. Tina did not disappoint. I had the Massaman steak served with curry, which is not usually very spicy, but I asked them to amp it up a little bit. The entree was really fantastic, think carne asada with rice and coconut curry. I did think the cut of meat I received had a little bit of gristle or something else tough, but everything else was really good. One of our friends, who shall remain nameless so as to not be incriminated from other reviews, so I'll just call him "TL," had a steak dish as well. He requested his to be prepared as a 15 out of 10 on the spicy scale. He wanted his socks to be knocked off, and apparently they were. He said that everything was very good, and he appeared to be red-faced and sweating by the end of the meal. Mrs. B had, you guessed it, Pad Thai, which was delicious as always. Aaron and I were also pleased to find that they had a good selection of single-malt scotches from which to choose as well as a great value wine selection for the table. The setting inside the Embassy Suites is very comfortable, and it helps make Thai Tina's a great place to enjoy some great food without breaking the bank.

The food ain't bad...above average thai. The service is consistently a freakin' disaster. Very rarely does a "spicy" request come out spicy. Servers are often awkward and spacey. The servers, hostesses and cooks often share duties. A little pricy for quality received - they're paying for their downtown rent.

This place was recommended so we followed the lead. The food was very good. It was kind of a wierd setting...not what you'd expect in the area. However, considering it was in an Embassy Suites, definitely a find. The Thai food was not as "authentic" but still very good.

Let's not talk about the gaping hole in my heart since Junsuree's unceremonious closing. If only I'd gone a few more times. If only I'd invited all my neighbors, acquaintances, and the people in line at Target. But that's in the past, and Thai Tina is here in the present. And so today I ventured downtown to try the Thai restaurant, hidden inside downtown's Embassy Suites (yeah, I though it was weird too). Once I got over the whole Embassy Suites thing, and the tacky carpet, I was totally impressed by the menu. I love that the produce is local, and there's so much variety and spice across different sections (soup, salad, noodles, seafood, curries--plenty of options, including vegetarian and vegan, within each kind of meal). Prices are pretty steep, with even the most basic salad or noodle dish priced around $13. I decided to do decadent tonight, and went for the Lobster Penang Curry. They added just the right amount of basil, and my mouth was on fire in a good way. At $23 a serving, it's not the most budget-friendly meal, but I totally deserved it. Boyfriend went with a ginger tofu salad, which is not a very traditional meal (you're not going to find romaine lettuce-based dishes across Thailand...trust me, I've been 3 times!). It was good, but not $13 good. So now I'm stuck thinking about how many stars I should give Thai Tina's. Now that Junsuree is gone, it really doesn't have any competition within the city limits (yes, I know that Haltom City has a few places, and of course there are other Thai joints scattered across the Metroplex, but I'm talking pure Fort Worth) they will become the Thai restaurant of choice (because we have no other choice). Let's not let it go to their heads! I definitely liked it, and I will go back, but the prices are obnoxiously high. At least you don't have to stress about downtown parking--you can valet park for free at the hotel.

Probably the best Thai place I have been to in DFW. Super nice staff, very attentive, and delicious food! Thai is one of my favorite cuisines and have it just about every place I go, and Tina Thai's is def a top 5 thai place to eat. A little hard to find as it is inside the embassy hotel, but once you know that your set. The owners wife's name is TIna so there is actually a Tina that works at the restaurant; pretty cool fact.

As noted in another review, Thai Tina's is NOT closed, and never has been. I have eaten there several times since the date of the review that says it is permanently closed, and it is not only very much open for business, but also just as outstanding as ever. Why would a person say it is permanently closed when it is not? And why would they give a 1-star review of a restaurant where they were supposedly unable to eat? Well, whatever the agenda, the answer probably lies here: When 100% of a person's reviews are 1-star reviews, that fact likely says a lot more about that person's disposition athan it does about any of the reviewed establishments. Be that as it may, Tina is wonderful, and this is not your typical hotel lobby restaurant. It is a small family restaurant, owned and operated by a dear lady who is from, and grew up in, Thailand, and who brought a taste of authentic Thai cuisine to Fort Worth, Texas. When she is there, which is most of the time, she is usually walking the floor checking on customers and visiting with them. She is very genuine. Her veggies are fresh and local, from the Cowtown Farmers' Market. She does sometimes add a "twist" to her recipes that you would not find in Thailand, for example the inclusion of fresh avocado slices in the Grilled Salmon dish, which has other fresh veggies in a panang (red) curry sauce. But the avocado works very well in that dish, even though there inclusion is not "authentic." And that dish just happens to be my current favorite on the menu!

For service alone I would have given 1 star but because the food is good I gave them 3. I have been here several times as I work downtown and I have never received good customer service. Only once have I been asked if I want anything to drink and after the food comes the server has nothing to do with you. I waited for 30 minutes AFTER I finished my food to even see a waiter to come bring me my check. No thank you. I'll not be returning.

Giving 2 Stars to Thai Tina's is being generous. Nice looking location but left much to be desired. Took 5 minutes to be seated in a fairly empty restaurant. The waiter was friendly and knew the menu fairly well. When my wife's wine was served, the waiter informed us they are having a fruit fly problem and that she should cover her wine glass.. all i could wonder was what does the kitchen look like, and why in the world haven't they done something about their known fly problem. It was disusting. Hard to enjoy food and drinks while swatting flies. I love Thai food, I could eat it everyday. I have tried Thai restaurants all over the US. Tina must get some special on carrots because they were on every dish and too many of them. Just average Thai food, nasty place with flies....Was disappointed. They need to clean up their act!!

I've been wanting to try this place for a while and seeing good results on yelp I figured it would be great. I had the jalapeno fried rice with chicken and it was ok. They pack the plate pretty full so I think you get your money's worth but there was something messed up with the flavor. Not sure what it was but not what I was expecting. It wasn't that bad but I've had better. If I decide to go back I will try something different. The service was ok. Seems like the wait staff also works in the kitchen and it took a while to get things going the whole time there. It wasn't even that busy, 5 tables counting us.

The restaurant is set in a classy environment, but the service and food are definitely lacking. My waitress was pleasant, but the the host was impatient and seemed annoyed at my request for a corner table despite the place being almost empty. The food here is very "Americanized" thai, very bland and lacking in any flavor or spice. My dish came out slightly cold, almost no vegetables despite my request for extra broccoli, with no spice whatsoever. The wine was the best part of the evening and I suggest ordering a bottle to liven up your meal should you choose to eat here.

Thai Tina's is THE BEST Thai food that I've had in the metroplex! I have followed her from Watauga to the location on Jacksboro Hwy and to the Embassy Suites! I have also had Thai food from Dallas to nearly every suburb in the area and the freshness and flavor at Thai Tina's is by far my favorite! Tina is at the restaurant almost all hours and she puts her heart and soul into everything that comes our of the kithen. The Appatizer Platter, Steak with jalapeno fried rice or vegetables, the Salmon with Pangang or Thai Basil sauce, the fresh fish, and all of the curries are amazing! Try the Razzmatazz (Sp?) Martini at the bar too! If you're new to Thai, ask Tina what she recommends and she will ask you questions to come up with your new favorite. Try Thai Tinas today! Plus, Tina has a heart of gold. She helps those in her community of Fort Worth!

First off after reading some of the other reviews one has to wonder exactly what it takes for a restaurant to succeed in Fort Worth. Everyone complained about their former location,so they moved into swanky new digs downtown and now everyone complains still. If this was Dallas having no sign out front and valet parking would make Thai Tina's everyone's favorite little exclusive dining spot. But since it's sleepy ole Fort Worth, people just complain. The prices have gone up a bit but the food is first-class and the portions are ample. If the service is too slow for you there is a Taco Bell over on nearby Henderson Street; I'm sure their food is faster and cheaper too.

First off...housekeeping. There are two Yelp listings for this restaurant as of this writing. One for "Thai Tina" and one for "Thai Tinas". The latter is in fact the name. The other listing is also for their old location. They have since moved to the Embassy Suites in downtown Fort Worth. Which brings us to the review. Great new space! You will notice in older reviews that the former spot was not known for its appeal. Lets just say it was a dive. In fact, the building was an old re-purposed Pizza Hut. But no more! The new spot has a comforting eastern vibe with nice decor. Quiet without being unnerving. Service is prompt. The dishes are amazing. The ingredients are FRESH. Yes...all capital letter FRESH. Especially loved the quality of the cilantro, which just made my dish. And they aren't afraid to mix up their dishes with less traditional ingredients like jalapeño. And they will made a crazy-mean-spicy dish if you ask. They clearly understand heat. This is a favorite spot for almost everyone in my office, and can be walked to from most spots downtown. Fresh is the key in Thai, and Tina (the owner) gets it right!

Worst Thai I've ever had. Pad see ew was not spicy, very bland and not made with eggs like it should be. The water is nasty and thai ice tea was even worse. Disappointed

Americanized Thai food in an inconvenient location. You will feel out of place if you are dressed casual. The service was terrible. Definitely not going back.

I ordered the shrimp pad Thai. The presentation was nice however as soon as it was put in front of me I could tell there was way too much of some salty gooey sauce on it. If it hadn't been for that I think I would have enjoyed it. At $17 for the plate I say it was overpriced by at least $5 for the dish. The bar tender who served me was very nice but I won't be going back.. I can still taste that sauce & it got me to write this review.

I was a little reluctant to try this place, as I wasn't sure what to expect of the food in terms of authenticity, being that the restaurant is in a hotel. To me, that indicated that it could be very Americanized. I decided to give it a try, and I'm glad I did. I had Laab Gai (chicken), which was very good. I asked for it to be extra hot, and it was very flavorful and good. Ingredients/tastes were great--mint, galanga, etc. A very satisfying salad. The sweet sticky rice and mango dessert was just okay. The amount of rice was a little less than I'm used to, and the coconut milk sauce wasn't as flavorful as I have had. Not sure what was missing--maybe salt? When I saw that they include ice cream, I asked for it on the side. I was glad I did, as it was vanilla flavored, which I don't think would work well with the other flavors. I would likely return if I'm in the area again sometime.

Thai Tina's has moved to the Embassy Suites in downtown Fort Worth. The atmosphere has definitely improved and looks more upscale, and the food was still delicious. Bonus feature: a bar with nice selections of wine, typical wells and calls, and basic beer on tap I recently had the mango salad with chicken, and it was fabulous. The peanut dressing is so good and not too thick. I'm a huge fan and will probably get this salad again. Everything was really fresh. It seems like the prices have gone up a little, but I'm sure it is due to the new location. They had a duo playing the last time I went, and it was nice for a happy hour, but I don't think I'd enjoy it all through a meal. Also, you need to valet park now, and there were a few problems with the valet leaving someone else's keys in my car, but I'm not blaming the restaurant for that. I still recommend this place, and I'll definitely go back.

Let's be clear everybody..... this is Ft. Worth, a city not exactly known for it's Asian food. It is extremely difficult to find decent Asian food here. Therefore, I was excited about having Thai Tinas and nearly hysterical when I thought it had closed down; it moved from Henderson to the Embassy Suites hotel downtown, thus the higher prices. Because the food is great, I don't really care about the waitstaff. I've never had a bad experience in that area though. I have had (and love) the Lard Nar, Pad Thai, Panang, Gang Massama, Tom Kha, and a few of the salads. I'm not crazy about the spring rolls coming in a diced up display, but they taste good so I won't be too particular. It is good Thai food in a vast wasteland so let's not run out of town the only decent place in cowtown because the waiter doesn't meet your standards.

I went to Thai Tinas for lunch today, and it was decent. The coconut chicken soup was really good, but the rest of the lunch menu was just "ehh". The waitress was nice, however, she did inform us that our food would take a long time because there was a larger previous order. That would be okay, but we were in a rush to return to work. However, she was able to get our food in a timely manner. Either way, not that impressed with the place.

The location and structures nearby had my instincts saying "KEEP DRIVING, DON'T STOP", but the delicious food makes up for it all. I've been here several times and can speak toward the crispy rolls, spring rolls, and the Pad Thai Kee Mow (House special), all are delicious. I've been there for lunch on work days, and for dinner on a Saturday. The service has always been polite but can be slow when they are overwhelmed.

i love thai food. and this place has been the most consistent for me. maybe i haven't ventured enough into dallas in search for thai, but i've been to at least five thai places in DFW and haven't found a favorite. i've been to thai tina maybe three or four times and i've had the same experience each time. i've been seated pretty quickly, had a prompt waitress, and the food doesn't change. i mean, when you order a medium spicey dish one day and go back a week later and order the same dish, it's the same...not unexpectedly super spicey or weirdly mild. it's consistent. the flavors at this restaurant is pretty distinct, from the julian vegges, and intense taste of basil. try the appetizer dish with the springrolls and fried wontons. my faves are the basil fried rice and see ew noodles.

I just visited Thai Tina's new location downtown. As in previous trips the fodd was just so so. Nothing to complain or write home about. That being said the service was pretty bad. Our server was clueless and had no real interest in getting answers to anything. For the price they should hire a professional waitstaff who knows what they are doing. Also the location requires you to valet park which add another $5.00 to your bill.

Had a fantastic experience at Thai Tina's the other day! Best Pad See Eiw I've ever had, and I've consumed a lot of Pad See Eiw in my life. Those that ordered the Pad Thai were very pleased. The catfish dish didn't overly wow one in our group, but all in all, everyone was pretty darn happy! HUGE portions and good sized kid portions as well... Service was pretty good and friendly. Another fantastic dining experience while visiting the Ft. Worth area, I look forward to going back to Thai Tina's and I'm pretty sure my Ft. Worth family will be back to Thai Tina's in the near future!

I wanted to update my review. Before a show at Bass hall I went with some friends. I will say that after specifying my taste in heat, which is make me cry, the meal was much more enjoyable. Wish the location was better though.

Considered Thai Select since we hadn't been there yet, but the reviews on Yelp steered us clear. We opted for trusty Thai Tina's. We were seated immediately and ordered some green tea. Their lettuce wraps (chicken) are always a great choice...the fried wonton is great soaked in the juice. I ordered the pad Thai kee mow and my wife ordered the Tom Gha soup. Both were excellent as usual at Thai Tinas.

Let me preface my three stars by saying this: the service the 2 times I have gone is AWFUL. I had the same guy - never smiles, seldom refills your glasses, you have to stay on him to get your rice with your meal (last time, I didn't even get rice with my meal, and just thought I'd lost my mind and it didn't come with it), and he doesn't make eye contact. He simply answers "yes" to whatever you request - and sometimes you have to request several times. And today we had to wait several minutes to be seated, then wasn't given menus... I could go on. Lucky for them, though, their food rocks! I am no Thai connoisseur, so I stick to the basics - I get a stir-fry dish with chicken, cashews, and pineapple. Oh, so good! It's really saucy, so it goes great with the rice you have to ask for over and over again! Yes, the place is a dump. Align yourself in their crappy parking spaces, bring your patience, and enjoy!

Wonderful Pad Thai! It was perfectly flavored and the portion was HUGE! More than enough to share, and have left overs. We also ordered the calamari app, it was delicious the dipping sauce was simply amazing. My only issue with it was that a few of the pieces were rubbery. I can't wait to go see the new location. Other people have said that the service was awful but when I went we (my bf and I) had amazing service! Food was very prompt (less than 10 mins after ordering we were eating!) At any given point we seemed to have about 3 servers asking if we needed help or anything at all. I can't wait to go back.

Thai Tina's is a great Thai place just west of downtown, in the most unassuming of locations. It's the best Thai food in Fort Worth in my opinion. If you're going for your first time make sure you get the appetizer sampler. Thinking about the spice they employ here makes me want to go again. Highly recommended. If you like spicy things, order the house special. It will take you out, I promise. The portions are large, everything is spiced perfectly, and it's great for take-out. In my opinion, one of Fort Worth's best kept secrets.

After all of the great things I've heard about Thai Tina's, I have to say, I was incredibly disappointed. I went to the new (ish) Fort Worth location for lunch the other day. Upon our arrival, we had to wait almost ten minutes before anyone greeted us, and once we were seated, it was another 15 before anyone took our order. As someone who has spent years working in restaurants, I can forgive less than immediate service when a place is clearly busy. What I can't get past is unfriendly service. The server was, at best, neglectful, bordering on rude. Our appetizer was pretty good, we had a sampler, with some cilantro rolls in rice paper topped with shrimp, some fried rolls, and delicious crab rangoons. I mean, they were pretty amazing. I'll give them that. The entrees, however, were not. I ordered a ginger grilled chicken, on a pineapple and cucumber salad with steamed rice. I received an overcooked chicken breast with very little flavor atop a soggy salad with no pineapple and fried rice. The rice was greasy and bland. My friend's pad thai left much to be desired. It was overly sweet and had no spice at all. After our food was delivered, the server didn't return to our table at all until she made time to drop off the check and walk away without a word. Like I said, I had heard great things about this place, and was very excited to try it. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. It's unlikely that I'll return, which makes me a little sad inside, because I was really looking forward to having a new favorite Thai place in the Fort. Alas, the search continues.

I'm half Thai and have been eating Thai food all my life....Tina's is a nice place with a nice setting and friendly staff. The food is okay but not authentic at all. If you're looking for authentic Thai food this is not the place.

I went to Thai Tina, which is located in the Embassy Suites hotel, last night because we were craving thai food. I am a big fan of thai food, so I know what tastes good and what doesn't. First, we had to wait over 5 minutes before anyone greeted us or directed us to be seated. Apparently, they were that busy, even though the restaurant wasn't even half full. Anyway, I ordered the Pad Kee Mow with shrimp. The noodles were quite sticky and the texture of the sauce was very thick and syrupy. I've had Pad Kee Mow from thai restaurants all over, and never has it tasted this thick and sweet. I ate all of it, but I would never go back for it again. My bf had the green curry with steamed rice, and his dish was a bit salty. Overall, this place only gets 2 stars from me and this is totally based on the food according to its prices. If my rating was based on food and service, this place would only get 1 star. I don't recommend it because for someone who would have never had thai before, I doubt they would be impressed by Thai Tina's food.

Went here for the first time last night, let me say I was blown away. After I parked, I got of my car and walked through the gas station parking lot that neighbors Thai Tina's. This would typically be a bad sign, but with thai restaurants I find that the more run down the location looks then the better the food is! This is by far the best thai food I have had in fort worth, the pad thai was legit, and the house special which I got to go to eat the next day was outstanding, I could not have been more pleased.

This is the third location of Tinas that I have tried. Finally, a place that matches the food. Beautiful! And the food is so, so good with quality ingredients. A little more expensive than some Thai places but worth the few extra $$$. Great addition to downtown FW.

I had the impression the food was more like Thai fusion than straight Thai, but however the recipes orginated, it was very good. It's in a strip mall (big surprise, a strip mall in the metroplex), but the interior is nicely decorated, and the service is good. On Monday night, if you order two entrees and two drinks, you get free fried ice cream. I thought that was a Mexican dessert, but whatever, it was yummy.

The jalapeno chicken fried rice is the best! I wish they were closer and I'd eat that stuff up every day! They are still in Watauga and by the same family. It's kind of a quiet place with no liqour/beer sales but you can go to the grocery store near by and bring it in. They will even give you a frosty mug. It isn't a very lively place but the food is great and a nice place for a quiet date.

Bad, bad service, which was not even compensated for with decent food. I won't delve into the details, but basically, our waitress had three strikes against her for rudeness and lack of service before the food even arrived. I had the fresh spring rolls (drenched in sauce, which made it soggy) and the Thai Peanut Sauce with vegetables (salty).

Very neat looking place in the lobby of Embassy Suites in downtown Ft. Worth. I'll just get to the point. This place hasn't quite figured out how to do lunch yet since their move from their original location. The service was just awful. I won't rant about it because it was obvious there were some new servers. I'll give them a break. It took 40 minutes to get our food (which is ridiculous during lunch). People around us were taking it to go and getting their meal for free. We decided to give it 5 more mins and the food did show up. The food was pretty good, even though they didn't bring us the correct dish on one of our orders but we weren't about to send it back on our time crunch. This place makes some good food, they just need to figure out their lunch service. I hear the dinner is pretty good though... try that!

Brought the family here because we love Thai food and heard it was the place to go in Fort Worth. Nestled away in corner of the Embassy Suites in down town Fort worth this place clearly had potential. Appetizers and soups were good, main entrees on the other hand were not. My Curry dish tasted like the sauce you would get from the grocery store. Very disappointing considering the reviews this place has received. Living 90 minutes away will keep us away even when visiting Fort Worth.

Thai Tina is the only Thai food restaurant in this area but is surprisingly really, really good. I highly recommend their crab wontons as an appetizer. Their fried rice is fantastic too. The atmosphere is good despite being located in a strip mall, although service can be hit or miss. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area!

Though I'm not a big fan of Thai food, as it just seems like a spicy version of a hodgepodge of various asian cuisines, but this one is one of my favorites. The duck pot is out of this world spicy and nicely seasoned. I stood up and nearly fell over because of the spiciness, but it was really good food. Nice and flavorful. The conventional Pad Thai is above average. This place definitely doesn't skimp on flavor, or heat. Must try this one if you are near and into Thai food.

While in town for a conference, I went there (it's inside the Embassy Suites now) for take-out lunch early (about 11:15), and when I got there, there were no other customers in the place. Regardless, it took about 35 minutes for me to get my food. I ordered the house special, which, for $14 was very disappointing. There was nothing special about it. Slow service, high prices, and mediocre food? Not a winning combination.

I went for lunch and was a little disappointed in the prices, as I thought they were quite high for Thai food. A good thai LUNCH should cost no more than $7 in my book. However, I will say that the flavors were quite good, so I will go back because I crave good Thai food. P.S. This review is for the old location... I understand the new location has even higher prices. Yikes!

Great food!! Prices are great! Clean place and good service. Pad Thai is fantastic.

This was an easy stop for me since I was staying in the Embassy Suites. The dining room is TINY, though that wasn't a problem. Only two other tables had parties. The décor is nice, very elegant, though they ruin that by using paper table cloths. It's the little things! I got decent service, nothing to remark upon either way, and the food came out quickly. The food let me down, though! You have to get Pad Thai to try a Thai restaurant, right? Well, I had maybe four little chunks of meat in mine. Definitely not worth the up-charge to add meat. Prices are just all around REDICULOUS, entirely too high, and skimping on the meat just made things worse. I was served a plate with a pile of sauced noodles on the right, and all the veggies, etc, on the left. There were no peanuts anywhere, which was odd. The sauce lacked balance, with the sour notes dominating. It wasn't unpleasant, just one-dimensional. Noodles were piping hot and cooked perfectly, though. With a few adjustments, I think this could be a fantastic Thai restaurant, but as it is, it's just disappointing, especially for the top-dollar prices.
(2)Chris P.

(3)stephanie k.
Worst food ever! Food tastes stale and fried. Wontons are disgusting. Fried basil rice tastes the same as the fried tofu appetizer. Just a joke!
(1)Sirish K.
(1)Ashley V.

Hidden Gem . . . My fiancé and I recently discovered this restaurant inside the Embassy Suites and we have gone back about once a month since! It's never crowded due to the location, the staff is attentive and super sweet, and the food is wonderful!! We have had five different dishes thus far and have enjoyed all but one - and the only reason this one wasn't a favorite was the lack of spicy heat that I can ask for next time. We will definitely continue to frequent this restaurant PLUS who can resist FREE valet parking in downtown Fort Worth?!
(4)Jill K.
(5)Christina D.
(2)John W.
(3)Kristi W.
(4)Lindsay G.

I don't understand what everyone is whining about. My experience was great food and great service!

I had the Pad Woonsen and it was really good. I also got some pineapple fried rice to take home and it was really good also. I really enjoyed the food! I went there on a sunday after church and the service was really good.

Excellent Thai food. Simple, classy, good Thai food. I could eat here every night.

(5)Heidi S.
The best Thai food in town... Don't pay any attention the the chic named Bonita it is great here , this lady if you should call her that is Never happy with most things always complains To get free stuff or discounts.. Go try this place and see for yourself.
(5)Sarah D.

(4)Michael M.
The food ain't bad...above average thai. The service is consistently a freakin' disaster. Very rarely does a "spicy" request come out spicy. Servers are often awkward and spacey. The servers, hostesses and cooks often share duties. A little pricy for quality received - they're paying for their downtown rent.
(3)Athena H.
This place was recommended so we followed the lead. The food was very good. It was kind of a wierd setting...not what you'd expect in the area. However, considering it was in an Embassy Suites, definitely a find. The Thai food was not as "authentic" but still very good.
(3)Tim M.
Tina is awesome..! Great favors and presentations...! Super friendly staff with great service. Good prices...
(4)Nick V.
Excellent food, price, and atmosphere. Saw a lot of reviews saying "bad service," but our service was great. We'll definitely be back, and free valet parking can't be beat!

(4)Arjun D.
(4)Tim B.
Tina's Thai Steak melts in your mouth. The jalapeño fried rice has a little kick, but it's just right.
(5)Bill H.
Was in the mood for Thai and wasn't disappointed. I had the Bounjay and it had just the right amount of heat and was well seasoned. Service was good along with a comfortable setting. I'll be back when I am in town again.
(4)Bill E.
(5)Amber L.
(3)Chuck R.

(2)Jessica S.

(5)Brian F.
(4)Dan S.
(5)Amy K.
Worst Thai I've ever had. Pad see ew was not spicy, very bland and not made with eggs like it should be. The water is nasty and thai ice tea was even worse. Disappointed
(1)Skyler S.
Americanized Thai food in an inconvenient location. You will feel out of place if you are dressed casual. The service was terrible. Definitely not going back.
(1)Betty J.
(2)Don L.

(4)Charlece H.
(4)Sandra M.
(3)Richard S.
(4)Le E.
i love thai food. and this place has been the most consistent for me. maybe i haven't ventured enough into dallas in search for thai, but i've been to at least five thai places in DFW and haven't found a favorite. i've been to thai tina maybe three or four times and i've had the same experience each time. i've been seated pretty quickly, had a prompt waitress, and the food doesn't change. i mean, when you order a medium spicey dish one day and go back a week later and order the same dish, it's the same...not unexpectedly super spicey or weirdly mild. it's consistent. the flavors at this restaurant is pretty distinct, from the julian vegges, and intense taste of basil. try the appetizer dish with the springrolls and fried wontons. my faves are the basil fried rice and see ew noodles.
(4)B. E.
(2)Tiffany L.
(4)Ryan R.
I wanted to update my review. Before a show at Bass hall I went with some friends. I will say that after specifying my taste in heat, which is make me cry, the meal was much more enjoyable. Wish the location was better though.
(4)MITCH C.
(4)Tara L.

(5)Charles B.
(5)Britni R.

(2)Lily M.
(2)Dustin L.

Wasn't overly impressed and we were the only ones there at noon on a Saturday. Wait service could have been better and the food was ok, but seemed over priced.

Yikes!
